The author was born in Chernihiv, Ukraine. He is 41, married and a proud father of a 10-year-old daughter. Before the war, he was deeply involved in music and songwriting. His military callsign is "Rocky". The painting serves as an illustration for a song composed by his best friend, Stitsya, titled 'Lonely Ship.' In this artwork, Rocky portrays the experience of sailing on a solitary ship in the vast sea. Despite facing storms and adverse conditions, he conveys the idea of persevering towards his goals and ultimately overcoming adversity to reach his destination
