Yurii Kononchuk

Yurii is a soldier in the Armed Forces of Ukraine who joined the defense of his country at the onset of the full-scale invasion. The brutal realities of war have taken a toll not only on his physical health but on his mental well-being as well. Multiple concussions, the loss of his comrades and innocent civilians, and a home that now exists only in memories—these have transformed the once cheerful, always-smiling young man into someone quiet and withdrawn. For almost a year, Yurii has been moving between hospitals, one after another. Art therapy has become a lifeline for him—a bridge toward reclaiming his inner peace and emotional balance.
