Olha Semeniuk

A mother whose son fought in the ATO/JFO and passed away due to illnesses he developed while in service. In her grief, Olha found solace in art therapy.

When she first came, she simply observed the participants, not daring to pick up a paintbrush. But gradually, step by step, Olha realized — there were no obligations, no limits or expectations here. Everyone here was “one of her own.”

Now, she attends art therapy sessions regularly. According to Olha, this is where her soul finds rest, and she receives a great deal of positive energy from the creative process itself.

Everyone has their own heaven and their own hell. Everyone has a soul, and each soul carries its own pain and its own joy. Everyone has their own peace, and their own moments of happiness.

It was with these thoughts that this painting was created — a painting about the hidden corners of our inner world.
