Olga, a 72-year-old mother, describes her painful loss "My son served in the 2014 defense of Ukraine against Russia's illegal invasion, and died as a result of diseases acquired during his service." She continues to create art in honor of him. In this work, she explains "I painted a young girl on the seashore, gazing into the distance and dreaming of love." Through her art, Olga expresses the enduring power of love and hope in the face of loss.
