The artist is a mother of a soldier who died in September 2014. Oleksandr's unit was encircled and engaged in battle - with the overwhelming forces of the enemy, occupying a circular defense. While fending off the attack, Oleksandr received a fatal wound.
Nataliya is a co-founder of 'THERE IS NOTHING IMPOSSIBLE'" and the public organization "Unified Family of Rivne Region,".
The artist told us, "I wanted to convey my romanticized view of life with this painting. That with such an attitude you can survive everything, and go into battle with a positive attitude towards victory, and at the end meet a beautiful, victorious dawn."
