Volodymyr Hupko, a 27-year-old soldier of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, was one of the first to confront the enemy in Kherson region. After sustaining severe injuries, he spent a long time bedridden, having to relearn basic tasks from scratch – eating independently, brushing teeth, washing oneself. The raven — both a symbol of the sun’s light and of darkness, of wisdom and of the devastation of war — carries layered meaning. It also stands for transformation, protection, and insight.
