Nina is a 47-year-old mother of a fallen hero, who served as a marine defending Ukraine from Russia's brutal  war. Reflecting on her piece, she says "I depicted ladybugs as a symbol of spring, warmth, and sun." Her choice of subject represents a celebration of life and hope, offering a vibrant, joyful counterpoint to her personal sorrow.
