Lyubov Petrushina

Lyubov, a 65-year-old mother, shares her perspective "Jellyfishes are absolutely calm, they swim with the sea current throughout their existence. I drew a jellyfish as a desire to find peace and harmony in my life." Lyubov's son, a fallen soldier, was a political activist, volunteer, and participant in the Revolution of Dignity. He bravely defended Ukraine in 2014 during Russia's illegal occupation and he rejoined the military service in 2022 during this war. Tragically, he lost his life on the night of March 2, 2022, in a battle with a Russian subversive group in Vasylkiv, Kyiv region. In her artwork, Lyubov captures the tranquility and hope of the jellyfish, symbolizing her own yearning for inner peace and harmony amidst the challenges she faces.
